And it was confirmed
Guess I'm still trying sum up and look back at year 2005 when it's already 5 days into 2006. Ahhh...it's just been a hectic ride. I look back now and I'm happy to declare to be proud of (certain) things I've done and choices I've made the past year. From the time when I went done to Orchard hotel for a 'Study in Australia' exhibit, obtaining the application forms, trips to the agent to know more about studying down under and to pass up application forms (and fees and fees and fees), register for the tests (and pay for the fees), sit for the tests, think about how badly I performed during the tests, elated when I received invitations to interviews from the different Unis, prepare for the interviews (Why do you want to study medicine? Why would you become a good doctor? How do you handle cultural differences?) - phone ones (How many primary school friends do you still keep in contact with? Secondary? JC? Total number of friends you have??!!) , face to face ones (Could you explain electrolysis?; What do you think will happen in Singapore if the government declare a ban on smoking in Singapore?). And then through the process of dealing with yet another (Monash) rejection, and a cloudy 3 month wait for answers from the others Unis, in the midst applying for disruption, arranging for accomodation, applying for VISA, going for medical check ups, confirmation of VISA, UNSW reply!, dilemma, acceptance of UNSW, UWA reply!, dilemma, acceptance of UNSW. And between these squeeze in the tuition that I give, hence lending financial aid when I pay for fees and YES! Shopping! (Over $1500 spent on record). And then there's the laptop, the reading up, and here I am friends. Confirmation of flight! I'm flying off to Australia! It's already, reality is already dawning on me that I'm really leaving this place for a 6 years good. Thanks to all the guys who, although cliche, tell me things will be alright, remember what you're going to Australia for, everything will be ok. From the first time when I picture the airport scene till now, the picture's almost the same. I yearn to see my parents and relatives, my cousins and friends, all who play such important roles in my life. I want to say, heartfelt - Thank you. Then I will hug and hang on so tightly, only to have to learn to let go, and then I'll board the plane and the journey begins. It is soon to be. And yep, for those who wants to come to send me off (I'd be so honoured, and there are certain people I want you to come! ;) and need a reminder, here's my flight details: Departure date and time - 11th Feb 12.20 am (Hence check in at around 9-10pm 10th Feb Fri) Terminal...eh I still don't know (It's SIA). Well, see you folks around!
P/S Hehe... well, have been wanting to learn to cook a few dishes before I leave for Australia. So I leant these 2 dishes from my Mum - and they taste pretty good!! Hmmm... but, I think I'll forget when I get there. Haha. Well, I can always experiment and come up with new yummy treats for myself!
